Transport and School Trips

School Transport

We offer a school bus service to make it easier for pupils to travel to and from school each day. This service is provided by the company Autocars Fuentes and covers a number of different
routes.

The school can also be reached by public transport: the Valldoreix and Sant Cugat railway stations are a fifteen-minute walk away, and from both stations there are bus services that go directly to the school gates. The bus routes serving our school are L3, L4 and V4.2.

Residential Trips

When the warmer weather arrives, pupils from Year 1 through to Year 4 of Primary have the opportunity to enjoy a few days of community life and learning in a more recreational setting, with a wide range of activities exploring nature, games and sport.

These are days of switching off from everyday routines, during which pupils, together with the Sisters and teachers, share an enriching experience that promotes independence and enjoyment, surrounded by nature and tranquillity.

Ski Trip

After the Christmas holidays, pupils in Years 5 and 6 of Primary take part in the traditional ski trip to the Vall de Núria. This is three action-packed days in a magnificent natural setting, centred on learning and improving skiing skills while enjoying time together with classmates and teachers.

Any pupil, regardless of their level or experience of the sport, can take part in this very special trip, thanks to the ability-set ski lessons provided by the ski instructors at Núria. The torchlit descent, mountain talks and the traditional celebration of Holy Mass at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Núria fill these days with reflection, fun and physical activity, making this trip a truly unique experience.

Summer Camp

At the end of the school year, with the aim of continuing the teaching and learning process in a fun and recreational setting, children in Early Years and Primary have the opportunity to take part in the Summer Camp.

The Summer Camp takes place at the school itself, with a range of timetable options, and is built around a different theme each year. It includes dedicated English language activities, as well as games, treasure hunts and sporting challenges.

Swimming

Children in Early Years, Year 1 and Year 2 of Primary take part in swimming lessons during school hours, with the following aims:

Development of coordination and motor skills

Strengthening of muscles and bones

Improvement of respiratory and cardiovascular capacity

Increased physical stamina

Improvement of posture

n addition to the physical benefits, swimming also has an important impact in the psychosocial sphere:

Increased confidence and self-esteem.

Reduction of stress and anxiety

Promotion of discipline and concentration

Stimulation of independence

Encouragement of teamwork

Improvement of communication and social skills

Development of healthy habits

Swimming is an excellent option for the integral development of children, combining exercise, fun and learning.
